Your incredible support funded an accessible interactive tablet for the Neurosciences Department, costing £7,170.

The Tiny Tablet includes apps and tools that enable patients to work through interactive activities and exercises designed to boost wellbeing and recover motor function. This can improve recovery from a stroke or support patients with Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Motor Neurone Disease.

Apps like movement-based games can strengthen coordination and mobility, while quizzes and puzzles encourage focus and problem-solving.

The tablet also includes music and sensory apps that can help to reduce anxiety. It can even be used for videocalls and group games, to encourage communication and stop patients feeling isolated.

The tablet is suitable for patients in bed, in wheelchairs or standing, without stretching or leaning – important in reducing the risk of falls.

Staff can quickly switch between activities, so everyone can join in with exercises to suit their abilities or with their unique recovery needs in mind.

The NHS can’t fund equipment like the Tiny Tablet, and that’s where we come in. Our charity buys pioneering equipment for departments throughout the hospital, making a difference for thousands of people, and it’s all thanks to your support.
