Norwich School has been a long-standing supporter of our charity, raising thousands of pounds for our Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal. The money was raised through events organised during the school’s Lent term, such as the Lent Tern Dinner, organised by the pupil-led Charity Committee. The School’s 8th Norwich Sea Scouts (Cubs Section) raised almost £1,000 for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital from their bob-a-job week to celebrate their centenary year.
Town Close Prep School has also supported our charity over the years, most recently raising £9,000 for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital from events including a Christmas Fair and a French breakfast.
Norwich High School for Girls Prep School and Nursery won our Charity’s Young Fundraisers Award 2024. Throughout the 2023/24 academic year, the pupils chose the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital as charity of choice and worked tirelessly to raise funds.
Through various fundraising activities, including busking at the Forum, a Carol Service collection, Norwich High Prep’s Got Talent (organised by our House Captains), and Charities Day, the school raised £1,837.68.
Wymondham High School teacher Elliott Catchpole raised £8,395 for our hospital, with the school later raising even more funds from a charity Christmas song.
As a community group
The LILAC Ladies (Ladies in League Against Cancer) donated £10,000 for a new consulting room for patients on the Boudicca Breast Cancer Unit.
The room at the N&N’s unit has been fully refurbished reflecting the colours and theme of the Boudicca Unit.
Ovarian Cancer Support: The N&N’s Ovarian Cancer Support Group has raised money to create comfort packs for patients. The group has raised funds through bake sales and other events, with one member personally donating £1,000.
