Have a donation pot. You could put it in your local shop or a naughty words jar at home. Take a look at our free resources to help you.

Organise a bake sale or coffee morning, you could do this at your work, school or local community centre. Ask your friends to bake some delicious treats to raise money for us.

Hold a garage sale, declutter your house and raise money at the same time. Team up with with your neighbours and local community and make it a big event! If that’s too much work, try selling on eBay.

Organise a team quiz night, auction or party, Get together with your friends, colleagues and community for an evening of fun!

Set yourself a challenge, run walk, swim or cycle your way to fundraising success. If physical challenges are too much, try a sponsored headshave or something fun.

Set up a sports event, It could be bridge, poker or football or a golf day, whatever you and your friends like.

Fundraise for a special occasion, ask for donations for your wedding, birthday or christening.

Top tips

  1. Remember it’s ok to keep it simple and to do something that you are good at, like baking.
  2. Have a look around and see what you can use to keep any costs down – maybe you can use your local community centre for free or your work will let you host a cake sale.
  3. Before you get started, set yourself a target – it can help to keep you motivated.
  4. People are more likely to sponsor you for something unique and creative. Set yourself a challenge if you reach a fundraising milestone, like ‘if I reach £500 I’ll wear shorts to work’.
